iCloud Integrity

Boo-yeah! 8 am on day 2 of starting my 2nd goal for 2023- this blog! My plan was to post 3 times a week but when I woke up this morning and turned off my “do not disturb” from my phone, I had a notification that I hit over 100 views- confetti and everything sprinkling all over my phone screen! I’m not going to lie, it put a giant, overnight retainer and all, smile on my face! Thank you thank you thank you! So after having my cup of coffee and reading a chapter from each of my 2 current books (goal #1 of 2023 still in full force at 7 am), I gained some more inspiration to dive into post #2!

While reading today’s chapter in “I Do Hard Things” by Havilah Cunnington, she explained what living an integrous life meant. She used the iCloud as an example- it syncs everything together so that every device has access to the same information. The same way-integrity is having your beliefs, attitudes and choices all sync together. You walk the way you talk. You make choices according to what you say you believe. She said, “Life gets so much easier when I refuse to lie to myself or deceive others…I’m not wasting my time managing what others perceive. My energy isn’t being used to try to unlock what others may have heard or think about me…I am an open book, ready to be read by the world around me.”

I then realized that my first post didn’t end with me signing out, or even an introduction to who I am. As you can tell, I am new to this whole thing. I’m learning as I go. So thank you for reading my “post behind the ghost” as I would like to call yesterdays blog entry. Let me introduce myself.

My name is Audra (pronounced Awe-druh). I am in my early thirties. I have been married for 10 years to my hard-working husband, Keelan. We have 2 beautiful girls- Amanda and Paisyn (pronounced Pay-Sin), and one precious Angel baby that God is taking care of for us. My family is everything to me. I live each day to take care of them. I homeschool my oldest and am her team mom on her sports teams. My youngest is just beginning to walk and I am soaking up all the last bits of baby in her! I am born and raised Christian, not always having followed His path, but am now on the right track again and ready to STAY along this path. Nobody’s perfect right? I have two big beautiful boy dogs, if my husband would let me, we’d have 12 more! I love rescuing dogs! My first rescue was at 18 years old and she was my best friend for 13 years. Her paw print is tattooed on my hand to remind me who rescued who. That’s another thing- I love tattoos (guilty!). My body is my canvas. It displays what I am passionate about, what I believe and who I am. My integrous self, like my chapter this morning explained. I love Disney, I love Jesus, I have been through tough times, and happy times. My tattoos say it all. I have a Marilyn Monroe quote on my leg that says “Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.” I make it a point to NOT live a boring life! My family loves living full out. It seems there is never a day there isn’t something going on in our crazy house. This should be helpful in having a blog!

So here I am. My true self. Laying it all out for you to enjoy. My chaos. My beauty. My deepest pits of despair and my rainbows and silver linings. God has helped me through it all. Without Him, I would not be here…And without dog food, my boys wouldn’t be either- or so they seem to be currently telling me, as they are literally sitting on me and staring into my face reminding me it is their feeding time. Have a great day!

The REAL me, Audra
